TEST DOCS
Test Case Generator
Turn a short form into a structured test case ready to paste into a test management tool or a sprint ticket.
Anatomy of a good test case
- Title — describe the behavior, not the test, e.g. "Verify login with valid credentials".
- Preconditions — state the setup that must be true before the steps run.
- Steps — one concrete action per line so anyone can reproduce them.
- Expected result — what the system must do, stated as one observable outcome.
Writing tips
Keep each test case focused on a single behavior so a failure points to one area. Write expected results that are verifiable, not vague ("page shows the error message" beats "it should work"). Make steps independent of test data that might change.
